Review of Unique Identity Card process

The process of registration for providing Unique Identity Cards is continuing in five districts - Shajapur, Dewas, Hoshangabad, Harda and Burhanpur districts in the state. Over 8 lakh 44 thousand registrations have been made so far.   This responsibility is being carried out in the state by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.
The Deputy Director General (DDG) of Unique Identity Authority of India of the Union Government, Smt. Sujata Chaturvedi, is arriving at Bhopal on June 3, 2011 for Madhya Pradesh visit. Smt. Chaturvedi, an Indian Administrative Service Officer of Bihar cadre, will undertake inspection and review of the works being undertaken for ‘Unique Number’. As per schedule, Smt. Chaturvedi will also hold discussions over Unique Identity Cards with the Postmaster General, Principal Secretary Food and officers of other departments connected with this work.

 

Central Jail prisoner dies in Hamidia Hospital

Prisoner Deevan Singh son of Ramprasad serving sentence in Central Jail Bhopal died while undergoing treatment at Hamidia Hospital. The deceased was 60 years old was serving life sentence under sections 302, 149 of IPC after the verdict was pronounced by Additional Sessions Judge Ganjbasoda on March 11, 2002.
On March 17, 2002 he was transferred from sub jail Vidisha to Central Jail Bhopal. The prisoner was suffering from old treated care of pulmonary TB with adrenal insyffieincy. He was admitted to Hamidia Hospital for treatment from August 10 to 18. On August 26 according to the advise of jail hospital he was sent to Hamidia Hospital at 6.25 am. According to information received from Hamidia hospital the prisoner died on Thursday at 6.55 am. Information of the death of the prisoner was given to Gandhi Nagar Police station and case was registered.

Sanskrit Diwas Samaroh

Three days Sanskrit Diwas Samaroh was organised at Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan at Bag Sewaniya , Bhopal. The Principal Prof.  Azad Mishra  in his welcome speech said that the Sanskrit Diwas Samaroh is celebrated all over the country on Shravan Purnima. In the same way Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan is also celebrating three days celebration programme to promote the usage of Sanskrit language. The Chief Guest Dr. Prabhdayal Mishra on the occasion said that Sanskriti Language has played a vital role in he development of society from vedic era to modern era and the development is quite possible through Sanskrit Language. The President of the programme was the Director of Ramkrishna  Ashram and Vivekanad Peeth Swami Bhawropandji stated by his speech "Sarve bhavantu sukhinah" On the occasion the students presented a beautiful presentation of Mnglacharan, Saraswati Vandana a & welcome songs. The Principal Azad Mishra and others professors welcomed the guests and the translation and direction of three days programme was done by the HOD of Sanskrit Vayakaran Dr. Brijbhushan Ojha. Quiz and questionnaire in literature,Shlokas, and singing competition will be on Aug 27 and poetry recitation and Vagbvaradhini sabha will be conducted by ending the celebration.  DGEME Sailing Trophy Championship
